So we headed to this French restaurant on Purvis Street that Kitty recommended. Thankfully Ronda arrived first (at about 6?) and put her name down on the wait list, because even then we had to wait more than an hour to get a seat?! The restaurant doesn't allow reservations, so everyone was just standing around outside waiting to be called. The food was good for its prices imo, but I'm not sure that I'd say it's worth the long wait, so it'd be better to go on down on weekday nights I think.
Clockwise from top left: barramundi with crab potatoes and long beans; confit of duck with mash, sauteed mushrooms and tangerines; chocolate mousse with hazelnut and raspberry bits; crispy pork belly with poached egg and sauteed vegetables (which turned out to be some kind of beans, I think).
