curious.

hazy morning at about 8am.

initially i thought the bright round orange thing blazing in the sky was the sun, although mummy says the sun isn't so high at 8am in the morning...after uploading the photos into my laptop and brightening it, i realized maybe it was actually the moon, because as you can see in the photo there's this bright white glare in the center of the photo. i never knew the moon was so bright. in the unedited photo you can't see the sun at all; it's totally hidden in the fog. and it's not nice cool morning mist you see in the photo, it's foul-smelling smoke shrouding the city. it's been like this for the past few days and i hate it. makes my nose run and my eyes turn red and water and makes me feel like i have an inch of dust covering me.

a closer photo of the curious looking moon. this one's unedited:

times like these i really wish i have a dslr. this is my digital camera zoomed to the max. it's not very clear, but you can kind of see the uneven surface of the moon, no? or maybe it's just the haze...

this is the edited version. note the white glare right next to the moon:

i wonder what it is? i don't think it's the sun...is it? i took this at right after i took the first photo on top, and the distance between the sun and the moon is much further in the first photo. maybe the sun rises fast...

i hate the haze, but it does make for interesting phenomena.
