Europe, here we come!

After multiple trips to the travel agency to interrogate/harrass the travel agents and kopecollect travel books, two nights of camping and repeated refreshing of airline websites, some shopping (this was just happenstance, y'know), a trip to the bank, a consolatory meal and a celebratory meal, I am happy to announce that WE HAVE FINALLY DONE IT. WE HAVE GOTTEN OUR PLANE TICKETS TO EUROPE!!! *waits for applause to die down*

We have also booked our internal flight in Europe from Edinburgh to Amsterdam, and gotten our rail passes! Iy bank account is lying on the sidewalk bleeding from the mortal wound right now (and i inflicted another wound by buying a bag right after), but I am so happy!

And now for some self-gratifying photos:
Fried mushrooms! i ♥
We had dinner at Manhattan's Fish Market, after our first trip to Dynasty Travel at Clarke Quay. Asked a lot of questions, made the helpful travel agent check a lot of stuff and give us some quotes, but left without booking anything...

RJ the backpacking buddy :D

The dinner was extremely worth it, imo. This grilled platter had fish, prawn and calamari, together with rice, chips and veggies. The promotion was one-for-one for $19.90. So it was two of these for that price O.O I was so stuffed by the end of dinner I couldn't swallow another rice grain.

But of course dessert is for an entirely different stomach. This mud pie, which I expected to be some chocolatey brownie with a gooey center, was actually ice cream for chocoholics. Towards the end it felt a bit sickly 'cause I was sooo stuffed, but for the first 80% it was heavenly.

Meal #2 was a celebratory meal at TCC, after we went again to Dynasty Travel to pester another poor travel agent and finally got everything booked and paid.
Crayfish Spaghetti that I ordered
Have I mentioned that I love the pasta at TCC? A little pricey but good, imo. Crayfish spaghetti was not bad; I liked the sauce. I also recommend the mentaiko spaghetti with salmon and egg (:

RJ's choice: seafood aglio olio

Me looking like I haven't fully woken up (even though I had two coffees this morning)

Random late afternoon snack, just because we can.

Now it's starting to feel real :D :D Imma start planning the itinerary. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUMMERRR.

In other news, I snagged a sheer black top at cotton on yesterday, which was a steal at $5 (went to the counter expecting to pay $25) and bought black eyeliner, which as all of you know, is almost a necessity. And today I happily bought a teal-colored bag, ignoring the fact that I'm depleting my bank account at an astonishing rate and also the fact that my heap of bags is currently piled almost waist-high in my wardrobe. Moral of the (non-)story is, never raise the limit of your credit/debit cards.
